Arunachal Pradesh, one of the state in the North Eastern part of India has a uniform education structure.
The literacy rate of Arunachal Pradesh as per the survey conducted in the year 2011 is 66.95%.The literacy rate has shown significant improvement as it was 57.74% earlier according to the 2001 census.
There are as many as 68 higher secondary schools, 137 pre-primary schools and 103 high schools. The medium of instructions in schools and colleges in Arunachal Pradesh is either affiliated to the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education board [ICSE] or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Education is globally recognized as a fundamental human right, and people with access to education can develop the skills, capacity and confidence to secure other rights. It is therefore an important stepping stone to improve the social situation of the people.
The improvement of education can come from the state governments, strong conviction and political will determine the future course of improvement. When we specifically analyse the education scenario in Arunachal Pradesh, we got to know some aspects.
One, the state has very poor infrastructure and requirement of smart class. Secondly we do not have quality teachers which is one of the factor for poor results in educational sector etc...
