The area occupied by the present Tirap District is a part of the north-eastern extremity of India
bordering Burma. It is the only District of Arunachal Pradesh on the southern bank of
Brahmaputra, and in early times it was the gateway to India in the east.
The vision of Tirap is to create a nationally known inner city elementary schools that produces major gains
in student achievement, and helps make the neighbourhood in which it is located a much more pleasant
place in which to live and work
And also to create one of the state’s most effective schools helping secondary student who have not
succeeded in traditional schools, prepare for, and be accepted into, post-secondary education
